Schrödy
Schrödinger’s Cat / Quantum Superposition Physics
Size guide S–5XL · inches
Box, cat, vial, sealed lid. Physics’ most famous pet is still arguing with us. Schrödy is Schrödinger’s cat: his 1935 thought experiment questioning quantum superposition at everyday scale. Schrödy wears it in pixel art on a unisex tee. The physics panel below has the equation, every symbol and the sources.

The physics
Schrödinger's thought experiment links one atom, which is in a superposition of decayed and not decayed, to a cat. Quantum mechanics then describes the whole box as a superposition of two complete stories, and the equal weights give a 50/50 chance of finding the cat alive when you look.
Equations
| Symbol | Meaning | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| \(\lvert\Psi\rangle\) | joint quantum state of atom and cat (normalized state vector) | \(\mathrm{1}\) |
| \(P\) | Born-rule probability | \(\mathrm{1}\) |
