Max Planck Sticker
He Quantized the Vibe | Physics
A desperate fix to a heat-glow formula became quantum theory. In 1900 Max Planck explained blackbody radiation by assuming energy comes in quanta, E = hf. Quantum theory started there. A pixel-art portrait on a 3" × 3" sticker; the physics panel below has the equation, every symbol and the sources.

The physics
Planck found that the glow of a hot body could only be explained if energy is exchanged in packets of hν. His formula gives the full blackbody spectrum at any temperature and started quantum theory.
